PicMonkey is a web-based and mobile app photo editing and design platform that provides tools for graphic design and photo editing, as well as templates for wedding invitations, announcements, thank you cards, business cards, and more.
In my role focusing on marketing, I created content for templates, blog posts, and social media platforms including Instagram, Pinterest, and Facebook. The Pinterest images I produced were particularly successful in driving traffic for the social team and were even used in marketing advertisements.
Partnering with the copywriting team, I created images and designs for the “How to take better pictures with your iPhone” blog article. This piece was a pleasure to develop as it afforded me the opportunity to see Pike Place Market through a new lens as I roamed the historical landmark sourcing images for the post. As an added bonus I was also able to feature my own dog “Douglas Fur” .
My Pinterest designs below moved on to be used in targeted email adds.
EDUCATIONAL INSTAGRAM
To educate users on the different uses of tools within the PicMonkey app, I created a “how to” for Instagram stories. By using a simple shape, I designed this vibrant poster aimed at inspiring the user to try something new and think outside the box.
SOCIAL
In honor of rare national holidays, these were created for a #holiday campaign. Using simple animations was a clean, and elegant way to draw viewers in and bring each image to life.
SOCIAL STORIES
To showcase the new background erase feature, I created a video tutorial that walks through how to transform a plain vacation photo into an Instagram worthy post.
